The strict cut-off requirements for enrolment at central universities and affiliated colleges were supposed to be lowered as a result of CUET. Because each board had its own system for allocating marks, many aspirational students felt that these high cut-off requirements were unfair. The test is used as a centralized evaluation system by about 80 universities, including prestigious schools like Jawaharlal Nehru University, Central University of Punjab, Delhi University, and Banaras Hindu University. Students will be admitted into the component colleges of each participating university based on their CUET results. As only one test is required for admission to these prestigious universities, students won't need to take as many.
